About The Position

This role involves planning, scheduling, and performing routine building inspections to ensure quality assurance and control. The Office Supervisor implements work processes to correct facility deficiencies in accordance with safety standards. Responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring inventory of furniture and office equipment, collaborating with staff and building managers at Human Services facilities to address issues, and making decisions on exceptional situations to manage and implement appropriate services and assistance. The position also involves evaluating resource needs, coordinating with divisional leadership for resource deployment, maintaining electronic records of services and maintenance activities, monitoring work orders and service requests, and responding to staff inquiries and complaints regarding facilities. Additionally, the role requires participation in departmental management teams to contribute to policy development and implementation, assisting with strategic planning, research, and special projects. The Office Supervisor serves as the liaison to local agencies for building maintenance activities and stays informed about federal, state, and City facility and security guidelines. The position also includes performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules and performs routine building inspections.
  • Provides for quality assurance and quality control measures and implements work processes to correct facility deficiencies in accordance with applicable safety standards.
  • Maintains and monitors inventory of furniture and office equipment.
  • Collaborates with staff and building managers at all Human Services facilities on difficult issues and makes decisions on exceptional situations to manage and implement appropriate services and assistance.
  • Evaluates resource needs and coordinates with divisional leadership for the effective deployment of resources.
  • Maintains electronic records and files of services and maintenance activities.
  • Monitors work orders, service requests and quality assurance programs.
  • Responds to staff inquiries and complaints regarding facilities.
  • Participates on departmental management teams to provide input into the development and implementation of departmental policies.
  • Assists with strategic planning, research, and special projects.
  • Serves as the Human Services Department’s liaison to local agencies related to building maintenance activities.
  • Remains abreast of federal, state and City facility and security guidelines.
  • Performs other work as assigned.
