About The Position

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) is seeking four Student Workers to provide administrative support. This role is crucial in assisting with the planning and logistics of multicultural programs and initiatives, serving as a liaison between the office and diverse student populations, and supporting the creation of an inclusive campus environment through daily office operations. The student worker will help maintain smooth office operations and contribute to the OMSA's mission.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest in multicultural affairs, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and responding to email inquiries.
  • Assist with logistics planning for events.
  • Update and organize digital and physical files related to student programs.
  • Create and distribute promotional materials for upcoming multicultural events.
  • Coordinate room reservations and equipment setup.
  • Update content on the office website and social media platforms.
  • Assist with budget tracking and processing expense reports.
  • Take inventory and organize office supplies.
