About The Position

Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a part-time Office Specialist - Front Desk Floater to join its Clinical Support team. DBH is committed to providing exemplary customer services to its clients and employees. As a member of the Clinical Support team, the Office Specialist - Front Desk positions perform essential tasks related to making clients feel welcome and valued when they check in for appointments. Office Specialists are the first point of contact for most of the DBH clients when coming for treatment and create the critical first impression. The Office Specialist - Front Desk Floater has the unique opportunity to work in all DBH's outpatient clinics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must complete and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Compliance with Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients in a prompt, warm, and friendly manner.
  • Gather client and insurance information efficiently and accurately.
  • Request, collect, and process co-pays and other payments from clients at the time of service.
  • Convey all necessary information related to the client's appointment.
  • Work within DBH's electronic medical record system and have a working knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  • Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source, when necessary.
  • Monitor the work area to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Be knowledgeable about the crisis system and know when and how to activate it.
  • All other duties as assigned related to the needs of the organization.
