About The Position
Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group - Airport Medical Park is seeking an Office Operations Assistant for a full-time, day shift position, Monday through Friday. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office by managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and financial processes. You will be an integral part of a leading nonprofit Catholic health system dedicated to reimagining healthcare.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 1 year of medical office experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Verify and input patient demographic data, and manage obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations and referrals.
- Efficiently handle medical record release requests and coordinate the scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments.
- Submit daily charges for procedures, and manage the collection of co-payments, including the daily reconciliation of reports and deposits.
- Provide flexible and reliable general administrative and clerical support to various functions within the assigned area.
