About The Position

This role is for an Office Operations Assistant in a Cardiology specialty at Ascension Sacred Heart in Miramar Beach, FL. The position is full-time with a day shift schedule. The assistant will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing appointments, handling patient demographics and insurance information, processing pre-authorizations, entering daily charges, managing co-payments, and providing administrative support to the office.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
  • One or more years of experience with Medical Insurance, Pre-Authorizations, and Authorizations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in/check-out all patients and visitors, handling necessary documentation.
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmation, and processing medical record release requests.
  • Manage and verify patient demographic and Medical Insurance details, including obtaining all required Pre-Authorizations and Authorizations.
  • Enter and review daily charges for patient services.
  • Manage co-payments, deposits, and daily report reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative support to colleagues.
