About The Position

Canton Dental Clinic is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and patient-focused Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing dental practice. The Office Manager is responsible for leading the administrative team, ensuring exceptional patient experiences, optimizing office performance, and supporting clinical staff to achieve operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, experience managing healthcare or dental office operations, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a dental or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred).
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and billing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Multi-provider practice management experience.
  • Experience managing production goals and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop front office and administrative staff.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Coordinate onboarding and training for new employees.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor provider schedules and maximize appointment utilization.
  • Manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Coordinate office meetings and communicate operational updates.
  • Monitor daily production and collections.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPIs) including: Production, Collections, Schedule utilization, Treatment acceptance, Accounts receivable.
  • Manage office budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure accurate patient billing and insurance processing.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service from scheduling through treatment completion.
  • Resolve patient concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Support patient retention and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Promote a welcoming and professional office environment.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Monitor attendance and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with employment policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor relationships.
