About The Position

The Office Manager for Greek Life provides support and assistance to the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Greek Life. This position also provides administrative support to the Charlie & Cappy Whiteside Greek Life Leadership Center. This position will include excellent customer service delivery, providing support to staff members, managing events and reservations, supervising student workers, updating and maintaining department webpage. This position will also provide critical administrative support to the AVC and all Greek Life staff. This role will welcome students and visitors to the office and will supervise a team of student workers who will provide front desk support. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. This position will also track and monitor budgets, gather relevant information, process expenditures for payment, and prepare fiscal reports as needed. This position must be able to work independently to meet deadlines, shifting priorities, and an often-demanding schedule. This position will also manage chapter rosters. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in general business, public administration, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least two years of providing administrative support for an office.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to compose clear, correct, highly professional and effective correspondence and edit and proofread documents as needed.
  • Ability to utilize skills with virtual meeting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Ability to uphold quality and integrity standards.
  • Proven ability to administer basics budget/accounting processes.
  • Ability to initiate problem solving; and maintain a high level of tact and diplomacy while discreetly handling confidential and sensitive matters with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects and establish priorities among competing demands and to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to prepare, present, and/or review oral and written information and reports.
  • Ability to research and analyze related work program information.
  • Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations associated with units and the university.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Human Capital Management systems.
  • Administrative experience in higher education or similar environment.
  • Experience in University of Arkansas programs/systems (i.e. WorkDay, SharePoint, & Teams).
  • Experience with facilitating basic budget and accounting functions.
