About The Position

This role involves providing exceptional customer service and performing various cash handling and administrative tasks. The Office Manager will be responsible for accounts receivable and payable, daily bank deposits, and managing various financial transactions. They will also prepare office reports, operate office equipment, and may supervise other office employees in the absence of management. Secondary functions may include stocking and selling tobacco products, ordering supplies, training staff, and working with payroll. This position requires efficient math skills, the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures, and effective communication. The role also involves physical demands such as lifting items and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional and friendly customer service
  • Accurately perform cash handling activities including accounts receivable & payable, daily bank deposits, ATM functions, soda machine money reports, Western Union transactions, selling money orders, selling lottery items, counting cashier tills, performing safe audits, cash drawer balancing, coupon processing, return check processes, posting charge accounts, and accepting gas and utility payments.
  • Answer telephone and transfer calls
  • Email deposit information to the corporate office
  • Prepare all office reports
  • Operate office machines and equipment including computer, FAX machine, calculator, time clock, VCR, and cash register
  • May supervise & direct other office employees in absence of other office supervision
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Stock, order and sell cigarette & tobacco products (depending on location)
  • Provide direction to cashiers in absence of cashier supervisor
  • Order store supplies
  • Train other office employees
  • May work with payroll reports and time cards
  • Operate cashier equipment/systems
  • Lift and move items weighing over 10 pounds
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
