About The Position

Kunes Auto Group, one of the largest and fastest-growing automotive dealership groups in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to lead dealership accounting operations and administrative functions. With continued expansion and a strong growth trajectory, this role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to financial performance, operational excellence, and team development. The Office Manager is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing dealership accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and driving efficiency across office operations. This individual will also provide leadership to office staff and partner closely with leadership to support overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Office Management experience, in an automotive dealership or similar high-volume environment required.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
  • High level of financial acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience with Excel required
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to learn new things quickly
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work Mon - Fri 8:00 - 5:00

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dealership management systems (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all dealership accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and ensure timely, accurate close processes
  • Reconcile bank accounts, schedules, and financial statements
  • Monitor cash flow, daily deposits, and overall financial health of the dealership
  • Process payroll, including commissions, draws, and bonus structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Review and approve expenses in alignment with company policies
  • Conduct deal reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls
  • Lead, coach, and develop 2 Office Admins to ensure high performance and accountability
