Under limited supervision, the Office Manager plans, prioritizes, organizes, assigns, and evaluates the work of administrative support staff. This role involves managing various routine, skilled, and specialized tasks, with work typically reviewed upon completion for compliance with organizational and departmental goals, policies, and procedures. The position allows for flexibility in methods, priorities, and project coordination within established guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include selecting, training, and supervising administrative support staff, conducting staff meetings, and implementing operating procedures, systems, and training programs. The Office Manager resolves procedural and operational problems, assists with policy implementation and evaluation, and manages department expenditures and budgets. Key responsibilities also involve managing workload, assigning tasks, monitoring resources and progress, and recommending operational changes. This role includes writing, reviewing, and editing reports, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence and agendas, and processing department payroll. Additionally, the Office Manager handles travel arrangements, prepares purchase orders, schedules equipment maintenance, responds to information requests, conducts research, and maintains office and personnel files. The position also involves acting as a department liaison, assisting with budget preparation, processing billing invoices, and performing other related duties as assigned, contributing to team efforts.
