About The Position

Baskervill is an architecture, engineering, and interior design practice with a 130-year legacy of shaping some of the country's most recognizable workplaces, hotels, campus buildings, healthcare facilities, and much more. While our teams design environments for our communities, we’re looking for an Office Manager to help design the operations of our 150-person Richmond workplace. This is a role with plenty of variety, freedom and autonomy, and no shortage of opportunities to make your mark. You'll help shape the day-to-day flow of our office, make confident decisions, solve unexpected challenges, and constantly find ways to make an award-winning Great Place to Work even better.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required); college degree preferred
  • 10 or more years in an office administration, operations, and/or management role in progressive, professional office environments of relevant scope and size; ideally within the AEC industry
  • Proven managerial and leadership experience in an office environment
  • Experience supporting hybrid or remote work environments preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite and Bluebeam Revu; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong ownership, sound judgement and accountability in decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing office operations and Front Office activities, ensuring exceptional service for employees, visitors, deliveries, and day-to-day workplace needs while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes
  • Managing office procedures, and vendor relationships to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-functioning workplace
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employee workplace support, including parking, building access, onboarding/offboarding logistics, workstation setup, and facility-related communications
  • Coordinating building maintenance, janitorial services, security, emergency preparedness, and office repairs to ensure a positive and productive work environment
  • Managing office inventory, supplies, furnishings, and related budgets, including invoice review and cost-saving initiatives
  • Supporting leadership with administrative projects and assisting in planning office meetings, events, and employee engagement activities
  • Providing backup support for front desk operations as needed
