About The Position

The LRC-NS Office Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the center, providing exceptional customer service to patrons, and assisting with educational projects aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and Office of Special Education priorities. This position reports to the College of Education Director of Accreditation and Educational Innovation. Requirements

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations, including front desk and library support, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked center environment.
  • Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service via phone, email, and in person.
  • Assist patrons with the use of production area equipment (laminators, poster makers, die cuts, etc.) and help develop instructional materials.
  • Process new memberships and manage circulation using the Alexandria Library System.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment (copiers, laminators, cash register, computers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with OSE and LRC staff on projects, events, and professional learning activities.
  • Design and create bulletin boards, displays, and signage that align with monthly themes and OSE initiatives.
  • Conduct orientations for new members and provide ongoing support for LRC users.
  • Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries and monitor online order requests.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment.
  • Check phone messages and respond promptly.
  • Process online orders and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, LRC network, or OSE staff.
