About The Position

Metriport is seeking an Office Manager / Executive Assistant to manage their San Francisco office operations and provide support to the leadership team. This role involves a high degree of ownership and visibility, directly impacting the company's day-to-day operations. The position requires approximately equal time split between office management and executive support, with opportunities for cross-functional involvement. Ideal candidates are energized by building systems from the ground up, enjoy varied daily tasks, and are interested in a potential career path into People/HR as the company grows. The role is based in the SF office, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, or similar role at an early-stage startup
  • Based in San Francisco; available in-office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday mornings)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can prioritize across competing demands without hand-holding, and enjoy building things from scratch
  • Maintain clean systems for calendars, tasks, and follow-ups without being reminded
  • Clear and professional in writing and in-person; comfortable interfacing directly with founders and external partners
  • Identify problems before they surface and propose solutions, not just questions
  • Proficient with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus if you’ve used Linear
  • Interest in growing into a People/HR Operations role as Metriport scales

Responsibilities

  • Own the SF office experience end-to-end: supplies, snacks, equipment, vendors, and facilities
  • Lead office build-out initiatives as we grow: coordinate with contractors, landlord, and vendors
  • Plan and execute internal events (team offsites, all-hands, celebrations, customer visits)
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for office services
  • Maintain operational docs and processes in Notion; coordinate team communication in Slack and Linear
  • Support onboarding logistics for new hires and assist with People / HR projects over time
  • Recruiting coordination and sourcing: Work with our internal recruiter on sourcing and screening candidates, build and maintain sourcing funnels, craft personalized messages, and track response rates
  • Schedule and coordinate initial calls with candidates and follow-up meetings between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage complex calendars for both leaders: scheduling internal meetings, external calls, and personal appointments across time zones
  • Coordinate domestic travel: flights, hotels, ground transport, and itineraries
  • Track follow-ups, action items, and commitments so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Draft and send communications on behalf of leadership as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc research, vendor outreach, and special projects
