About The Position

Billing Geeks is a New York City medical billing company that has been running the back office for therapy practices across the city for over twenty years. We are a close-knit team of real people who know this industry inside out. We fight for our clients like it is personal and we have a genuinely good time doing it. We take the work very seriously but ourselves only moderately so. Right now we need someone who can keep the whole operation running at full speed and scaling the daily hurdles like a gazelle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Real experience in office management
  • Real experience in bookkeeping
  • Doesn’t need the full picture explained before you start moving.
  • Can keep a lot of plates in the air at once, and knows which ones to set down first if something wobbles.
  • Leaves every situation more organized than they found it.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day to day operations
  • Keeping the books in order
  • Supervising and supporting staff
  • Handling HR functions
  • Making sure monthly invoices go out to clients
  • Working directly with our CEO
  • Keeping the office running the way it should, which means staying twenty steps ahead of everything.
  • Supervising, training and delegating to staff so the right people are doing the right things.
  • Maintaining financial records and handling daily transactions with the kind of precision that would make your high school math teacher emotional.
  • Managing bank reconciliation and accounts payable and receivable because the numbers have to add up every single time.
  • Creating and sending monthly invoices to Billing Geeks clients, which means our revenue runs through you.
  • Handling HR support and being the person everyone comes to when something needs sorting because somehow you always know what to do.
  • Working directly with our CEO, which puts you right at the beating heart of everything.
