About The Position

Hill International is seeking an Office Engineer I in Los Angeles, California. This role will assist the CTA Curbside Improvement Program in various administrative and control functions related to construction projects. The position involves managing project documentation, correspondence, and ensuring efficient communication between the project team and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other related field required
  • 5 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects
  • Experience with projects more than $50 million in value.
  • Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Nice To Haves

  • Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional license or certifications.
  • Ability to work in PM Web preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CTA Curbside Improvement Program in the receipt, distribution and maintenance of submittals.
  • Perform construction contract correspondence, document and plan control functions.
  • Input data into PM Web, and prepare management information status report, as required.
  • Update and maintain logs for submittals and RFIs in PM Web, the project information system.
  • Maintain project files and document / submittal management systems (hard and electronic copies).
  • Work with the Contractor(s) to ensure the drawings are posted efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Distribute documents, submittals and RFIs for review; track and compile responses/review comments, obtain management approval and issue responses to Contractor(s).
  • Manipulate electronic files of various formats to create exhibits for presentations and meetings.
  • Attend and document project meetings (write agendas and minutes).
  • Perform expediting functions, and prepare and maintain an expediting log.
