The Park Board of Trustees in Galveston, TX is looking to hire a detail-oriented Office Coordinator. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position regularly scheduled for 32 hours per week. This administrative services position earns a competitive wage of $22.05/hour. You perform a variety of clerical tasks, including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents. Using your excellent organizational skills, you help schedule events such as meetings, travel, training, and activities for all members of the departments. For meetings, you help create agendas as well as create and develop visuals and presentations. In addition, you are responsible for accounting functions, including requesting quotes, creating purchase requisitions, processing invoices, and generating budget reports. You help with inventory control and ordering supplies as well as identify opportunities for cost savings. Through communication with payroll, you maintain timekeeping records for your department and reconcile any leave benefit requests. You maintain and update paper and electronic filing systems within your department. When appropriate, you give recommendations for and implement policy or process changes. You maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update them as needed. As necessary, you complete assigned special projects and maintain a working knowledge of all administrative and department-specific software.
