About The Position

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) is seeking a full-time Office Coordinator to join their rehabilitation team at an outpatient clinic in the South Loop, Chicago, IL. The Office Coordinator acts as a liaison between MOR and patients, facilitating communication with patients, clinicians, physicians, insurance companies, the billing department, and work comp adjusters. This role requires providing professional, friendly, and compassionate service to all patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
  • Front Desk knowledge and experience required, preferably in a PT clinic.
  • Strong background in providing excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and possess strong leadership skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with people.

Nice To Haves

  • Front Desk experience preferably in a PT clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, complete administrative processing (authorizations and verifications), and manage reports and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory level of supplies needed for patient treatment and efficient office duties.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with company policies, procedures, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the clinic.
  • Timely process, distribute, and track all documentation to physicians for signature.
  • Attend to all incoming calls in a helpful manner.
  • Respond to client inquiries and needs politely and promptly.
  • Process patient payments.
  • Handle cancellations and assist with rescheduling appointments.
  • Effectively use and maintain office equipment.
  • Manage the communication of patient progress to physicians, nurse case managers, adjusters, and attorneys via fax, email, or phone.
  • Support the Facility Manager with daily clinic operations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
