About The Position

The Office Coordinator PRN position at Clinch Valley Health's Outpatient Infusion/Chemotherapy department is a vital role focused on patient reception and administrative tasks. Initially, the role will involve full-time training, after which the hours will transition to PRN (as needed). Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience working in a medical/business office setting is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance rules and regulations strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs patients and visitors while promoting positive guest relations.
  • Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information, and is responsible for upfront collections.
  • Is responsible for the Admission/Registration, Pre-Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers of patients.
