About The Position

This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an office coordination role within a leading turnkey specialty contractor. The intern will be responsible for answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, managing mail, supporting shipping operations, assisting with company events, performing general administrative tasks, and providing operational and administrative support aligned with business priorities. The role also involves scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, with additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Professional, friendly, and upbeat presence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with MS applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and responsible driving record.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, and random drug tests.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner, screening, redirecting, and taking messages.
  • Provide phone coverage rotation from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Greet and direct visitors appropriately, maintaining a welcoming and friendly environment.
  • Receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Support with shipping out materials to job sites.
  • Assist with company luncheons and other company functions.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including scanning, printing, and filing.
  • Support HR staff with new hire orientation.
  • Provide operational and administrative support aligned with evolving business priorities.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and reservations as needed.
  • Arrange travel including hotels, transportation, and airfare.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
