About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Office Cleaner to join our team! This is a full-time position expected to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5pm, but must be flexible to change hours according to meetings and events, with minimal notice. The Office Cleaner will maintain a clean and orderly work environment according to safety standards. Duties include performing cleaning duties on rooms such as breakrooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, appliances, etc. This role involves wiping counters, cleaning toasters and microwaves, replenishing coffee supplies, putting away shipments of coffee, paper towels, washing dishes for company events, vacuuming, wet mopping, and sweeping as needed. The position also includes performing routine maintenance tasks and fixing small office issues like hanging pictures, fixing drawers, and moving furniture. Additionally, the Office Cleaner will run errands for management, such as purchasing supplies and retrieving mail from another office location, and organize all supply areas and deliveries. Assistance for meetings, including set up and break down of the room, is also a responsibility. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing and disposing of trash, and representing HCSG in a positive manner. The cleaner must be able to follow oral instructions, be pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff. Responding to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner is required, along with performing all other duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor & Manager.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to cooperate with co-workers and office staff
  • Good client/customer service and organizational skills
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
  • After the training period is completed, must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals
  • Must be able to fully understand and complete all in-services
  • Must maintain a professional appearance
  • Must be able to be at work as scheduled on time
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment according to safety standards
  • Perform cleaning duties on rooms such as breakrooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, appliances, etc.
  • Wipe counters, clean toasters and microwaves, replenish coffee supplies, put away shipments of coffee, paper towels, wash dishes for company events etc.
  • Vacuum, wet mop, and sweep as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and fix small office issues (hang pictures, fix drawers, move furniture, etc.)
  • Runs errands for management such as purchasing supplies and retrieving mail from another office location.
  • Organize all supply areas, deliveries, etc.
  • Provides assistance for meetings (including set up and break down the room)
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, floors, and commodes
  • Removes and disposes of trash
  • Represents HCSG in a positive manner; is able to follow oral instructions, is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers and client staff
  • Must respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
  • All other duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor & Manager
