About The Position

The front office associate serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and visitors. Performs routine office work to assist clinical staff with secretarial duties. Answers telephone and schedules appointments. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health. The Office Associate will join the LiveWell Counseling Center. This role requires the ability to switch roles throughout the day and maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized workstation. The position involves updating patient information in the EMR system and informing the Finance department of any changes to address, phone numbers, or insurance.

Requirements

  • One (1) year experience in a Medical office.
  • One (1) year experience in customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Prior knowledge of Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Inform Office Manager of whereabouts when leaving the office.
  • Answer high volume calls.
  • Retrieve and review overnight messages from call service.
  • Schedule and cancel patient appointments.
  • Process payments.
  • Draft letters.
  • Sort mail.
  • Retrieve and resolve email inquiries.
  • Distribute messages for medication refills.
  • Review and update patient information including changes of address, phone numbers, and insurance.
  • Ensure all patient information is uploaded to EMR.
  • Address and resolve patient issues effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized work station.
