About The Position

The Illinois Lottery is seeking to hire an Office Associate with the Legal Division. The individual in this position will work as a team member, providing customer service, guidance, and direction to Lottery retailers to ensure they receive a license to sell Lottery. This position is for a people person who excels in communicating and solving problems.

Requirements

Requires knowledge, skill, and development equivalent to completion of high school.
Requires two (2) years related office experience.
Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
Requires the ability to stand, stoop and lift above shoulder level.

Responsibilities

Reviews for propriety, applications for change-in-ownerships and prospective retailers.
Processes applications for license renewal.
Prepares, sorts, and maintains the physical file inventory of Lottery applications.
Initiates and receives telephone calls to/from current and prospective retailers regarding the status of their licenses and applications, licenses pending expiration, license renewals, and general licensing rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
