The Maine Department of Labor’s dynamic Customer Service Unit is seeking a talented individual to serve as one of the primary communication links between members of the public and the Maine Department of Labor. This role will also handle administrative duties and assist various bureaus within the department. The primary responsibilities include answering the main line for the Maine Department of Labor and referring constituents to the appropriate Bureaus or resources for resolution to their inquiries. Additionally, the role involves greeting walk-in visitors and constituents, identifying their issues, answering their questions, and/or referring them to the appropriate resources in state government. The position also manages, maintains, and enters data information into various tracking spreadsheets, performs special projects as assigned, and provides other administrative duties such as photocopying, preparing mail, receiving mail, and maintaining the Bureau of Labor Standards’ Labor Law poster and Video Libraries.
