About The Position
Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Public Health Office Assistant to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Health (TN DOH) located in Bolivar, TN. This is an on-site position working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school
- Experience equivalent to two (2) years of full-time customer service delivery and/or clerical/office work.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, perform county health department office work, in a medical office/clinic setting, of average difficulty, and perform administrative related work as required.
- Endorse all health department services for which each patient may be eligible.
- Help achieve goals by maintaining a supportive team environment.
- Properly register patients upon their arrival in a timely manner to ensure clinic flow by obtaining and verifying insurance information, checking immunization status, updating contact information in applicable systems, incorporating the process to eliminate duplicates, and successfully toggling between multiple systems to verify correct information.
- Refer to guidelines, manuals, and CHS policies/SOP to ensure accurate processes are followed.
- Provide Vital Records services according to policy, procedure, and directives; review birth and death certificate requests within a timely manner and appropriately print, document, and receipt each certificate issued.
- Maintain 100% security of the cash box by adhering to the segregation of duties procedures and notify leadership when problems arise.
- Accurately scan and index all required documents into the electronic systems within 48 hours.
- Appropriately schedule appointments according to CHS Booking Guidelines.
