About The Position

Join Ride Connection as an Office Assistant. This is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position that reports to the Executive Administrator/Office Manager. At Ride Connection, we believe mobility is essential to independence, connection, and quality of life. Every day, we work to ensure that older adults, people with disabilities, and others in our community can access transportation with dignity, respect, and care. We are seeking an Office Assistant who is organized, welcoming, and committed to community service. In this role, you will help create a positive first impression for the people we serve and the community partners who support our mission. As one of the first points of contact for callers, visitors, and program participants, you will play an important part in making our services accessible, responsive, and compassionate. Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively by phone, in writing, and in person
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within established timelines
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and courtesy in public-facing interactions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact by answering incoming calls and responding to email inquiries in a professional, respectful, and timely manner
  • Direct calls and messages to the appropriate staff or department and help ensure community members receive accurate information and support
  • Support day-to-day office operations, including opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, preparing outgoing mail, and managing the USPS mail account
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies and help track agency print collateral in coordination with the Marketing Manager
  • Coordinate the distribution of customer outreach materials, including new customer handbooks, shuttle schedules, fare materials, and other supplies
  • Provide administrative support for Ride Connection programs by collecting various materials, and assisting participants to understand program procedures, requirements, and how to complete related forms
  • Assist the Executive Administrator/Office Manager with special projects such as mailings, special events, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare meeting rooms and support meeting logistics, including room setup, refreshments, and catering for staff and outside agencies
  • Deliver high-quality customer service that reflects Ride Connection's commitment to dignity, respect, and inclusion
