About The Position

The Center for Campus Community and Connection (CCCC) office assistant, student employee is responsible for providing routine customer service and performing clerical and administrative duties for the CCCC. This role supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence. The employee will model, support, and hold others accountable to the University’s values. This position involves writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading documents, as well as performing data aggregation. The assistant will respond to the needs of students, colleagues, and community members in a timely and courteous manner, answer phones, respond to emails, forward messages, and confirm appointments. Responsibilities also include maintaining appropriate office supply inventory, compiling and organizing information into relevant reports, and maintaining filing systems using basic word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills daily. The role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization of desk and main space areas, collecting, organizing, and composing correspondence for department staff, and interpreting the needs of students and visitors to make appropriate referrals for service. Additionally, the assistant will help with planning and set-up/tear down of CCCC events and assist with creating and posting event flyers and other department communications. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
  • Good academic and financial standing with the University
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create visually appealing graphics and posts for various social media platforms to promote events and initiatives
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, think critically, and use good judgement
  • Strong professional integrity

  • Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures
