About The Position

In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with similar functions of an administrative associate or office manager. This role involves monitoring door security, providing administrative support to residents (e.g., room access, equipment check-out), maintaining log books, being knowledgeable of campus resources, supporting residents in communicating concerns to hall staff, enforcing Campus Living & Learning policies, and completing other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervising RHD. Learning outcomes include developing excellent customer service skills, organization and creativity in administrative tasks, proficiency in problem-solving, and understanding the internal operations of a complex residence hall system, including facilities management, technical operations, and safety & security monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor door security and inform appropriate staff if any issues arise.
  • Provide administrative support to residents including room access support and checking out equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance issues, equipment check-out, lost and found, and gift registries.
  • Be knowledgeable of on-campus locations and resources.
  • Support residents in communicating issues of concern to other members of the hall staff.
  • Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
  • Complete other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervising RHD.
