About The Position

This temporary position is from July 7, 2026, through July 31, 2026. The hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year secretarial experience

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Summer Program Directors, the position will perform secretarial/clerical work and serve to supervise students during arrival and dismissal to ensure the efficient operations of departments/front office.
  • Assists with recording student attendance in the student information management system, as assigned.
  • Documents and corrects absences, late arrivals, dismissals and other related attendance issues.
  • Monitors and tracks student attendance.
  • Generates attendance reports as required.
  • Assists with student registration and transfers.
  • Processes student discipline letters including typing, filing, and mailing of letters.
  • Oversees work of student volunteers and provides instruction for various work tasks.
  • Performs secretarial work for school principals and assigned administrators.
  • Drafts correspondence and documents.
  • Performs routine tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and data entry.
  • Manages, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Answers phones and responds to questions from parents, students, and other district personnel.
  • Greets visitors and responds to questions and concerns.
  • Provides recess/lunch coverage and other student supervision, as assigned.
  • Meets deadlines.
