About The Position

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Assistant that will keyboard data into Offender 360 (O360) and in and out clearances. In addition, this position will establish and maintain a variety of files. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of related office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at thirty-five (35) words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Keyboards data into Offender 360 (O360) to include room and individuals in custody assignment changes, restrictive housing placements and releases, disciplinary privilege losses and transfer placements.
  • Keyboards in and out clearance memos.
  • Establishes and maintains files up to date of all individuals in custody infraction reports and summaries of action taken by the Adjustment Committee and program team.
  • Maintains files on grade standings, disciplinary reports, job transfers, room transfers, lay-ins, restrictive housing, hospital reports, transfers, count sheets, disciplinary sheets, and related institutional reports.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
