About The Position

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate that will perform complex sentence calculations, process and verify writs of habeas corpus and escorted day release activities and prepare packets for distribution. In addition, they will maintain count sheets and docketing system and keyboard a variety of documents. If you are detail oriented and can ability to multi-task, this position is for you. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex sentence calculations including revocation and restoration of good conduct credits, meritorious and supplemental meritorious good time and other changes in sentence structure.
  • Processes and verifies all writs of habeas corpus and escorted day release activities and prepares packets of materials for distribution.
  • Maintains continuous individuals in custody count sheets for facility both on paper and through utilization of O360 to monitor all individual in custody movement in or out of the facility.
  • Maintains docketing system to confirm individuals in custody are reviewed for restoration of good conduct credits, Prisoner Review Board (PRB), awards of meritorious good time.
  • Keyboards complex charts, statistical reports, documents, forms, memoranda, and letters including medical terminology where an understanding of specialized terms is required to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
