Requirements

  • Requires a master's degree in social work from a recognized school of social work supplemented by three (3) years of supervised post master's clinical social work practice and possession of a clinical social worker's license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience providing clinical supervision in an adult correctional center.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience in providing clinical supervision to non-clinically licensed professionals.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience conducting and participating in quality assurance processes.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Prefers at least five (5) years of supervised post master’s clinical social work practice.
  • Prefers knowledge of relevant clinical accreditation standards [Mental Health focused].

Responsibilities

  • Conducts intensive, structured on-site client and treatment plant clinical reviews at the facility.
  • Participates in monthly program staff meetings, facility staff meetings and mental health team meetings.
  • Serves as Crisis Team leader.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff to identify available facility operational and community resources that present treatment and discharge barriers for individuals receiving care and evaluates the utilization of these resources.
  • Assists the facility administrative staff with formulation of facility program design/expansion recommendations, with the most effective and efficient utilization of program resources.
  • Signs certificates of admission for involuntary and court-ordered admissions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
