The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking an Office Assistant for the Special Facilities Division. This position provides administrative, clerical, financial, and customer service support for the Division's revenue-generating operations, including Chesapeake Hills Golf Course, Breezy Point Beach & Campground, Armory Square Pavilion, and Countywide Food & Beverage Services. The Office Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for patrons, vendors, event organizers, and staff while ensuring efficient office operations, exceptional customer service, accurate recordkeeping, and timely processing of financial transactions. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and County financial and reservation software systems, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial and administrative records. Work is performed under general supervision. Performs general office clerical work in support of unit operations. The work involves providing general office support services including responsible contacts with the public and others for the purpose of facilitating the use of services. The work requires training and prior experience in office clerical work. Work often requires coordination with another agency or unit or department of the County. The work is performed under close to general supervision of administrative staff or higher graded office staff.
