About The Position

This employee will work under the general supervision of the Fleet Manager and the Shop Lead. Performs secretarial and clerical duties in support of Fleet Management staff. Coordinates with departments and Fleet staff for the scheduling of repairs. Invoices put in the Fleet Management software. Ensures accurate and complete Fleet Management records. Input fuel records and stock orders into Fleet Management software. May assist with vehicle transports and parts runs.

Requirements

  • Graduation from High School AND two (2) years of experience directly related to above duties OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of general office maintenance and practices.
  • Operation of computer terminal in utilizing various software programs related to word and word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
  • Operation of standard office equipment.
  • Basic mathematics and accounting.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Public relations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, meaning city employees.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to sensitive Fleet information.
  • Operate personnel computer in utilizing various programs to produce or compose formal documents, reports, and records.
  • Must have valid Utah driver's license.
