About The Position

St. Peter Catholic Church, a Dominican parish in downtown Memphis, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Office Assistant & Communications Support. This position may be structured as either full-time or part-time depending upon parish needs and candidate qualifications. The Office Assistant & Communications Support position provides essential administrative, hospitality, communications, and records-management support for parish operations and ministries. The role supports the mission and strategic priorities of the parish through accurate administration, professional hospitality, and consistent communication support.

  • Front office reception and parish hospitality
  • Telephone and visitor support
  • Maintenance of parish records and sacramental data
  • Scheduling baptisms and maintaining sacramental documentation
  • Weekly bulletin and parish communications support
  • Website and digital communications updates
  • Stewardship mailings and parish database management
  • Liturgical ministry scheduling using Ministry Scheduler Pro
  • General office coordination and administrative support
