About The Position

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has two exciting opportunities within our Wildland Fire Management Division for an Office Assistant 3 (OA3). This full-time, permanent, represented position is located in the Natural Resources Building in Olympia, WA. The salary range includes a general wage increase of 2% for all state employees effective July 1, 2026. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, who can be a team player, and possesses good communication and organizational skills. The candidate should be capable of providing coordinated support, arranging staff travel, and following office processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Two years of administrative, clerical, or office experience.
  • Experience reviewing documents, using basic math, and providing good customer service.
  • Desire to learn department programs.
  • Possesses friendly and professional communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and public records retention, and requests are followed.
