About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics Chair's Office is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused Office Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Department Chair and leadership team by coordinating office operations, managing communications, facilitating meetings and special projects, and serving as a key resource for faculty, staff, trainees, and external partners. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering outstanding administrative support that contributes to the department's mission of excellence in patient care, education, research, and community service. As a central member of the Chair's Office team, the Office Administrator will help ensure efficient daily operations, support strategic departmental initiatives, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of experience in office management, administrative coordination, or related roles
  • Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
