About The Position

Boart Longyear is seeking an Office Administrator to work out of their Haileybury, ON facility. This role provides effective administrative assistance to the operations, logistics, and commercial divisions. The position involves handling correspondence, filing, managing incoming calls, purchasing, receiving, ordering, scheduling, and creating itineraries. The Office Administrator will also process travel expenses for field employees, assist with booking flights and accommodations, and support payroll administration. Key responsibilities include data entry and analysis of daily field reports for accuracy in payroll and invoicing, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. The role requires effective communication with personnel in remote locations and the ability to work with a strong sense of direction and minimal supervision to meet hard deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in MS office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, communications, telephone, email, and IT applications.
  • Organization and time management skills. Attention to detail.
  • Effective and professional communication with all clients, Boart Longyear, and other company representatives.
  • Must have a background and understanding in accounting and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible schedule as needed.
  • Strong sense of direction with minimal supervision and manage workloads to meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and develop a want and need for professionalism in everyday circumstances and ability to succeed.
