About The Position

This is a very exciting time for the Agrifoods Transportation team as we continue to grow and expand! One of the main challenges of this position is to perform various day to day administrative duties to provide support and analytical assistance. However, this provides opportunities to meet new people and get to build connections with others because of the various duties involved. You can maintain confidentiality of sensitive information You have the ability to work with a high degree of independence KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS You understand accounting principles You have advanced knowledge of MS office 365 applications like Word, Excel and Teams You have extensive knowledge of office equipment and administrative processes You are very organized and professional EXPERIENCE You have at least 3 years of relevant experience working in an administrative role You have a Diploma in Business Administration, or relevant discipline You have strong knowledge of general office procedures involving travel arrangements, reports, responding to customers and coworkers, and ordering supplies You have hands-on experience with productivity applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email and presentation software NICE-TO-HAVE Superior typing and dictation skills Transportation industry and fleet-related administration experience THINGS YOU WILL DO… - Interact with and aid the TransportationTeam with day-to-day administrative functions - Accounting Related Administration (organization, compilation, ensure accuracy, some coding and submission of information related to payroll, employee entitlements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses) - Participate in and assist with Safety Committee (forms, memos, and other assigned tasks) - Maintenance and organization of corporate filing - Answer phone, scanning, filing, mail, couriers, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence OTHER … You may occasionally need to work overtime to complete deadlines You may be required to travel for annual General Meetings or tradeshows Detailed Description of Duties: Aid in preparation of regularly scheduled reports; track format and maintain secondary revenue, fuel reports, and payroll hours Aid in presentation preparation and research Weekly invoicing; processing Bill of Lading (BOL’s) and milk slips Completion of month-end invoicing and accruals Weekly Accounts Payable coding (ensuring charges get coded to the correct depot/province) A member of the JOSH Committee Administration of bi-weekly payroll; audit, track people movement, hourly rates, changes, allowances, and providing correct information to the payroll department

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience working in an administrative role
  • Diploma in Business Administration, or relevant discipline
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures involving travel arrangements, reports, responding to customers and coworkers, and ordering supplies
