The Office Administrator manages the day-to-day administrative and time management activities for Operations. This includes calendar management, general office administration, document preparation, communications support, and other professional support. Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience in office administration.
  • Must be bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills in both languages.
  • Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent knowledge on PC based systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.
  • Must be available to work on Saturdays following long weekends, as required, on a rotational basis to maintain a five-day work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Responsible for answering incoming calls and emails, addressing inquiries, and providing timely support to customers and internal teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Data entry and processing of the daily paperwork.
  • Main switchboard operator for incoming calls, sorting incoming mail, as well as courier packages.
  • Working with supervisors on a daily basis to deal with complaints.
  • Assist the Management team in resolving customer inquiries.
  • Dispatching residential calls/complaints to Route Supervisor and Drivers.
  • Filing and general maintenance of all office records, update daily records as well as any other general administrative duties as required.
  • Assisting day to day and month end in Ottawa East Yard.
  • Monitoring and tracking of driver’s productivity.
