Requirements
- Strong understanding of medical billing, reimbursement, and healthcare terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — bilingual (Spanish) a plus!
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and billing systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting, especially with patient financial counseling, is preferred
- certification in medical office procedures is a plus
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service with a warm, professional approach
- Manage daily office operations, including clinician scheduling, authorizations, and workflow coordination
- Handle insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing processes with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist patients with data entry, intake, and financial counseling, ensuring clarity and support
- Keep patient records up-to-date and complete, ensuring seamless communication within the team
- Provide timely status updates to patients and staff, fostering trust and transparency
- Coordinate schedules to ensure smooth patient flow and practitioner coverage
- Support special projects and other duties as needed to keep the office running smoothly
