Requirements

  • Strong understanding of medical billing, reimbursement, and healthcare terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and billing systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus!
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, especially with patient financial counseling, is preferred
  • Certification in medical office procedures is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service with a warm, professional approach
  • Manage daily office operations, including clinician scheduling, authorizations, and workflow coordination
  • Handle insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing processes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist patients with data entry, intake, and financial counseling, ensuring clarity and support
  • Keep patient records up-to-date and complete, ensuring seamless communication within the team
  • Provide timely status updates to patients and staff, fostering trust and transparency
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure smooth patient flow and practitioner coverage
  • Support special projects and other duties as needed to keep the office running smoothly
