About The Position

The purpose of the position of Assistant Coach Offensive Line is to work under the direction of the Head Football Coach to maintain and enhance the program’s success as a regional and National contender and carry that success into the classroom and beyond. This position will assist in organizing and facilitating aspects of the offensive unit and assist in the overall football program, which may include recruitment of qualified, gifted student-athletes, assist in fund-raising; and retention of student athletes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
  • Must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must possess the physical ability to properly demonstrate necessary techniques associated with football and ability to sit during travel for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • Previous collegiate coaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of the football offensive unit but especially Offensive Line play.
  • Game plans run game and pass protection with Offensive Coordinator and staff.
  • Assist in all the overall program operations including but not limited to fund-raising, off- and pre- season conditioning, recruitment, retention of gifted student-athletes, and public relation functions of the program.
  • Evaluate own and opposite team capabilities to determine game strategy.
  • Assess and evaluate individual player’s skills and assigns positions appropriately.
  • Instructs players in the appropriate techniques of the various positions and the game.
  • May teach a maximum of three PEA credits per year. These can be three one-credit courses or one three-credit course.
