About The Position

This position is located outside the plant and consists of driving the yard truck to move and park trailers and trucks as needed during the entire shift. The role involves completing initial safety checks/inspections of the yard truck, documenting them, and maintaining constant communication with the supervisor and receiving team to understand trailer movements. The driver will monitor the radio for immediate responses to requests, assist in unloading trailers, and communicate any issues to the supervisor. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor may also be part of the role.

Requirements

Must have 6 months experience operating 18-wheeler/ shag truck with trailer (Can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 6 months).
Must be able to back trailers using mirrors.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have valid state issued driver's license.
Have no DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 Months.
Must be willing to submit to the Non-Dot disclosure and release form to obtain MVR.
Must be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Completing initial safety check/inspection of the yard truck and documenting it.

Monitoring the radio and responding immediately to requests.
Assisting receiving team members unload trailers as needed.
Communicating any issues during the shift to the supervisor.
Performing any other duties as assigned/requested by Supervisor.
