About The Position

Rogers Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN is a 115-year-old privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with quarry and asphalt construction operations in 13 states with 3,000 employees. The company has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held crushed stone producer in the United States. Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for the stripping crew, based out of the Flatrock Quarry in Quicksburg, VA. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with quarry or mining experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process, as needed.
• Perform daily pre-op and post-op inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
