About The Position

Off-Premise Bartender TGIS Catering & Events At TGIS Catering & Events, we believe exceptional hospitality extends beyond the plate. Our Off-Premise Bartenders play a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences through professional beverage service, warm hospitality, and attention to detail. As a Bartender, you will represent the TGIS brand at weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and special occasions throughout Southern California. This position is ideal for hospitality professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy interacting with guests, and take pride in delivering elevated service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in catering, hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or event settings.
  • Current California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation to various event locations throughout Southern California.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in off-premise catering or luxury event environments.
  • Knowledge of wine service, craft cocktails, and premium spirits.
  • California Food Handler Certification.
  • Experience serving high-volume weddings, corporate events, and social events.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Create a welcoming and engaging experience for guests throughout the event. Provide friendly, professional, and attentive beverage service. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to event specifications and company standards. Answer guest questions regarding beverage selections and menu offerings. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Prepare & Maintain Bar Service: Arrive on time and ready to work in full uniform and grooming standards. Set up and stock bar stations with all necessary supplies, glassware, mixers, garnishes, and beverages. Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty beverages accurately and efficiently. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Event Captain or Manager. Keep bar areas clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the event.
  • Support Event Operations: Collaborate with Event Managers, Captains, Servers, Culinary Teams, and venue staff to ensure seamless event execution. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing bar equipment and supplies. Follow event timelines and service standards while adapting to changing guest needs. Assist with event breakdown, cleanup, and inventory procedures at the conclusion of service.
  • Promote Safety & Compliance: Verify guest age and serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with California ABC and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) regulations. Recognize signs of intoxication and follow company policies regarding alcohol service. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines. Maintain a safe and professional work environment for guests and team members.
