About The Position

Our Phoenix, AZ office has a unique opportunity for an experienced employment litigation Of Counsel licensed in both Arizona and California to join the firm’s dynamic and long-established practice representing premier local and national employers. Ogletree’s Phoenix-based CA PAGA/class/collective litigation team, as well as the Phoenix-based CA single-plaintiff litigation team, affords California litigators robust mentoring and customized business development training in our collegial, in-person environment. This is an excellent opportunity for associates to provide legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies and opposing counsel. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, handling discovery-related activities and investigations, drafting of position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong analytical and writing skills, and an ability to relate to and inspire confidence with sophisticated business clients. Requirements

Juris Doctor
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in both Arizona and California
Meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice during employment
8+ years of experience practicing in state and federal courts in California
Labor and Employment litigation, specifically FEHA and/or PAGA, experience is required
Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
