Of Counsel - Litigation (San Diego)
About The Position
Nelson Mullins is seeking an attorney to join its litigation team in San Diego. This role can be located in San Diego, Torrance, or Downtown Los Angeles. As an AmLaw60 law firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location and join a tenured team. The ideal candidate has strong complex civil and commercial litigation experience working in a mid-size or large law firm. You will be joining a team of trial lawyers and litigators in San Diego who practice in the areas of complex litigation, products liability defense including knowledge of the Song-Beverly Act, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and class action litigation. The team has tried numerous jury trials to verdicts in various jurisdictions as well as in state and federal court in California.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of meaningful litigation experience in complex litigation, class action, and products liability
- First-rate communicator who possesses outstanding written and oral advocacy skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the Song-Beverly Act
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare pleadings and discovery
- Prepare for, take, and defend depositions
