About The Position

ISCAR METALS, INC., a dynamic and innovative cutting tool company, has an immediate opening for an OEM Specialist covering Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and western New York. The OEM Specialist is responsible for increasing Iscar Metals’ cutting tool market share with Machine Tool Builders & Dealers in an assigned zone through the application support of cutting tools. A successful OEM Specialist will possess a strong technical background in the metal removal industry with a heavy emphasis on cutting tool application and process optimization. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are also imperative for success in this position. DEFINTIONS OEMs - Machine Tool Builder, Machine Tool Dealer and Auxiliary Original Equipment Manufacturer Accounts defined by the company Zone - Defined by the Company as a geographic area

Requirements

  • Diverse background in metal removal processes with a minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant manufacturing/engineering field preferred
  • Working knowledge of various materials and their machinability preferred
  • Ability to interpret and communicate production documents, optimize production strategy, and apply tooling in a manner that will lead to greater sales conversions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on the ability to successfully translate technical knowledge into effective sales presentations
  • Self-Motivated, Ethical, and Dependable
  • Interpersonal skills capable of coordinating expectations with all relevant parties in the supply chain in order to facilitate optimum sales relationships
  • Must have the ability to work in the Microsoft suite of products (OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc…)

  • 3D CAD Experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Present Iscar product value to the Sales and Applications Teams at the OEMs.
  • Prepare tooling package proposals for the Sales and Applications Teams at the OEMs.
  • Maintain positive business relationships with the OEMs through continual improvement of the overall Iscar experience.
  • Gain the confidence of the OEMs and become their primary point of contact for sales related issues regarding cutting tools.
  • Prepare and present technical sales material pertinent to the OEMs.
  • Grow market share within the assigned zone. If the zone is shared, communicate and coordinate with other representatives to achieve growth.
  • Accomplish sales goals as assigned by the OEM Manager.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Iscar products on self-serve basis (via Iscar provided information) and share this knowledge with OEMs through product presentation.
  • Timely completion of administrative tasks related to sales activities (Trunk Stock, Expenses, Call Reports, etc.)
