About The Position

The OEM Business Development Engineer will execute projects related to the integration of VFDs into Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products and conducts business development functions. This role will provide technical guidance and support to OEM customers and internal teams on VFD integration, application and performance. It involves working closely with OEM customers, sales teams, and engineering departments to understand project requirements and ensure alignment. A primary focus of this role will be preparing technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals, for VFD integration and OEM projects. On the Business Development side, this role will conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitors, as well as develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones. This role is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams, addressing technical inquiries and troubleshooting issues. Lastly, all will be responsible for reporting and analysis of sales performance and executing special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills to handle a project engineering role within the industrial automation, OEM manufacturing, or electrical engineering sectors.
  • General understanding of VFDs, their applications, and integration into OEM equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Execute projects related to the integration of VFDs into Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products.
