About The Position

Central State Hospital is seeking an on-site OD Physician to provide on-call comprehensive Psychiatric and Medical care to the patients of CSH. This includes taking referrals from outside hospitals, admitting patients, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, providing follow-up care, and attending to any emergency needs throughout the entire hospital while on-call. The physician will perform all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner and may be assigned other related duties.

Requirements

• Completed Medical School.
• Valid Kentucky Medical License.
• Active DEA license.
• Experience in adult psychiatry.
• Completed a minimum of two years in an approved psychiatric residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call comprehensive Psychiatric and Medical care to patients.
• Take referrals from outside hospitals.
• Admit patients.
• Perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions of patients.
• Provide follow-up care for medical conditions.
• Attend to any emergency need throughout the entire hospital while on-call.
• Perform all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Other related duties as assigned.
